As a first time rider, I can’t say enough about the wonderful buying experience my husband, Ken, and I had with Country Meadows Ranch. Not only did owner Linda Elliott help me select the Paso Fino that was perfect for my riding needs, but she located a trainer who taught me to ride. Now, nearly 2 years later, my horse “Condessa” and I are the perfect riding team. I have spent nearly 200 hours in the saddle, and Linda has become a friend who joins Ken and me on many of our rides.

You certainly went far beyond the call of duty, and in our exceptionally tired state, I don't know if we told you how grateful we were. Linda, we had a great time at your beautiful home and a wonderful ride in the forest with you. Thanks so much for your extra info and time you spent with us. We had a great ride on Sunday also, we did go to the Trailhead by the fire tower anyway but we didn't get lost. It was great (3 hours worth!)Plenty of trailers but didn't see anyone else when we were out there-- it is so vast!

Country Meadows Ranch offers overnight and weekend boarding for your horses or mules. A courtyard with a fire ring for folks to kick back on. A very nice patio, exercise trail for horses, mules, OR people, and possibly fishing from our ponds in the near future.

*4 campsites with water, electric (1 with sewer) with a full bathhouse. We have big rig access.$22 per night.

Current Coggins required, no stallions please.

*Stalls with pasture turnout _______________ $15 per horse per night.

You provide the feed and hay, but we'll take care of feeding and turning out the horse if you would like.

CMR offers transport to local trails, price varies according to distance and fuel cost.

Croom Forest and Townsend Park are only minutes away. Both have miles of beautiful wooded trails. Townsend Park offers bathroom facilities and water for the horses. Both areas are home to lots of wildlife. We have seen deer, turkey, hawks, and fox. There are also a couple of country restaurants located near the trails for "after riding refreshment".

CMR offers Paso Fino mounts for trail riding$75 each.

All are very smoothly gaited and well behaved trail horses.

Jardinera is absolutely beautiful! She is a very petite horse, fine boned but very strong. She has a lot of "go" and will quarto as long as you like, and will also flat walk. Her gaits are very smooth and she is a joy to ride. Not spooky.

I've had her on camping trips from Florida to North Carolina and she does great. Crosses water, loads easily, ties, clips well, and stands great for farrier and vet. She has 2 months of training with a Professional Paso Trainer.

She's a fun ride and she's at the top of her game right now! She'll ride with a group in front, middle or back with no problem. Very flashy and recommended for an intermediate rider.
